Round 20 of the NRL saw the Broncos hang on to top spot on the ladder after demolishing a struggling Gold Coast Titans outfit.

The Broncos stamped their mark early on in the match leading 18–0 going into half time.

The second half saw the Broncos continue to dominate, scoring at will, and ending the match victors 34-0.

On Saturday evening the Newcastle Knights suffered yet another loss, this time at the hands of the South Sydney Rabbitohs who ran away convincing winners, 52-6.

In the second of the Saturday night games, the Melbourne Storm travelled across the ditch to Napier in New Zealand, where they played near faultless football to defeat the St George Illawarra Dragons 22-4. The Melbourne Storm took on the St. George Illawarra Dragons on Saturday evening.

The Storm started the match strongly, racing to a 12-0 lead by halftime. They continued to dominate in the second half, and aside from a late Peter Matautia try, the Dragons couldn’t get into the game.

In a close contest on Sunday afternoon, the Sharks defeated the Bulldogs by two points to climb their way up the NRL ladder.

Michael Lichaa’s try in the 78th minute gave the Bulldogs a sniff, but it was the penalty goal that proved to be the difference in the end, with the Sharks winning 18 – 16.

This evening will see the second placed North Queensland Cowboys take on the Parramatta Eels in Monday night football.
