The Morobean leaders call for fair distribution of funds, the introduction of the Independent Commission Against Corruption or ICAC and task force sweep.

The Morobe branch of government continues to foster a strong stance with Deputy Opposition leader, Sam Basil and the Morobe Governor, Kelly Naru.

Yesterday, the working relationship reached new heights, when the members of the Provincial Executive Council Led by Deputy Governor, Judas Nalau called for a series of changes in the National Government to suit Morobe’s needs.

“We want to see Morobean Members of Parliament come together for the good of the people of Morobe,’ said Nalau.

Morobe Governor, Kelly Naru wants task force sweep back.

He says if the government is serious about fighting corruption, it must bring them back.

“Only then will we know the government is serious about fighting corruption,” said Naru

The Morobe Provincial Government challenges the Prime Minister and State Ministers to introduce the Independent Commission Against Corruption or ICAC.

The Deputy Opposition Leader, Sam Basil, said the government must pass the law.

“It’s tougher than the Ombudsman Commission, the proceeds of crime act will reap off everything that someone owns liquidate and put the money back into PNG’s coffers, ICAC Law is still to be passed by parliament,” said Basil.
