Milne Bay’s Hagita Primary School Establishes Read PNG Program

Hagita Primary is the first school in the Milne Bay Province to establish class libraries under the Read PNG Program.

Friday saw the launching of the class libraries with the Milne Bay Education Principal Advisor, Roma Tuidam, making the announcement.

The occasion was also witnessed by local business house representatives, who also supported the school’s initiative in setting up the libraries.

Head Teacher, Richard Levi, thanked stakeholders that supported the initiative as it will develop education standards in the province.

Levi acknowledged business houses for supporting the school set up their libraries.

Business houses like More Stationary, Abel Computing, Nawae Constructions and New Britain Palm Oil Milne Bay Estates.

More Stationary used the opportunity to present a laptop computer and some text books to the school.

Other business houses also contributed text books, reference books, encyclopaedia and computers in a private partnership with the school.
