After an outstanding rugby career, All Blacks Captain, Richie McCaw has announced his retirement from the game.
After achieving everything that there was to achieve in the sport, the 35-year-old said his last match was the final of the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
There is no doubt that McCaw is one of the greatest players to pull on the All Blacks jersey. He created history with the All Blacks by winning the Rugby World Cup back-to-back, something previously never done before.
The flanker yesterday announced his retirement from the sport in Auckland, following a remarkable career.
Retirement has been at the back of his mind for a while, but he believes now is the right time, and is looking forward to the future without Rugby.
McCaw has won the world rugby Player of the Year Award a record three times and has 148 test caps under his belt, an outstanding achievement.
