Sinasina Yongomul Signs Agreement with Air Niugini

The youth in Sinasina Yongomul District, Simbu Province, can now apply directly for the Air Niugini Pilot Cadet Program.

The doors have been opened, following the Memorandum of Agreement signed today by Sinasina Yongomul MP, Kerenga Kua with Air Niugini Chief Executive Officer, Simon Foo.

Both parties have entered into a partnership agreement for the training of youths to become pilots.

Kua said that the MOA paves way for this opportunity to be harnessed.

According to Mr Foo, Air Niugini invests in pilot training for nation building and with the safety record set by the National Airline, this gives confidence for more offers.

It was a dream come true for 24-year old woman, Dikaiyos Wemin. As a child, she admired pilots in their suits and announcements on the aircraft.

Air Niugini Flight Operations, Executive Manager, Captain Samiu Taufa that the training of pilots is a stringent process.

Wemin was selected out of 58 applications, passing other requirements in the selection process.

Miss Wemin was congratulated for being a successful applicant providing sense of motivation for other youths in the Sinasina Yongomul District, to pursue this career.
