Fiji’s Sabeto Roosters are continuing their preparations for the inaugural Melanesian Cup match, following their arrival yesterday in the Nation’s Capital.
The meet is a first of its kind in the region; a pathway created to drive both countries rugby league players across their respective semi-professional competitions.
Despite adjusting to Port Moresby’s scorching heat, the Roosters are confident in taking on the challenge.
During their gym session at the High Performance Canter, Winger Isaac Turikula said, “We know at heart, that the team that we are going to face is not an easy team… But we are doing our check-ups with our coaches and management, they’ve been doing their part in drilling on us what to expect… and the training is good”.
The Agmark Gurias are set to arrive in Port Moresby tomorrow for their captains run and press conference.
Tickets have been released for sale at all Stop & Shop outlets in Port Moresby.
