BSP Supports Papua New Guinea Swimming Inc.

The Papua New Guinea Swimming Inc. received a sponsorship of K80,000 from Bank South Pacific, to go towards the BSP National Aquatic Excellence Program.

Over 1,200 plus young swimmers have gone through the program since its inception in 2004. The program provides a great incentive for young swimmers to set goals and achieve the results of becoming a member of the BSP National Aquatic Excellence program.

The program includes the Kundu Bronze, Silver, Gold and platinum target squads that aims to give young swimmers the opportunity to progress further in competitive swimming. PNGSI President, Elizabeth Wells,b thanked BSP for their continuous support, which has opened many new opportunities for young swimmers.

The sponsorship has enabled athletes to participate in competitions classed as the best in the world. 

BSP head of channel development, Sandra Fore, was pleased and said that BSP believes that the partnership with PNGSI was nurturing and developing more swimming talent for Papua New Guinea.
The event was witnessed by young swimmers at the Ela Murray International School.

Tura the Kokomo, and BSP green Piggy, were also present to add excitement to the event.
