Water PNG Customers Can Now Pay Bills Online

Water PNG’s Chief Executive and Managing Director, Raka Taviri Jr, has announced their new online BillPay system in Port Moresby today.

Water PNG distributes water to rural areas of Papua New Guinea and manages the sewerage system in provincial centres.

With about 26,000 metered connections in the 20 districts, Water PNG has looked for innovative and efficient ways to give quality service to its customers.

With the advantage of the growing numbers of internet users, Water PNG, through the joint partnership of ANZ, Westpac and the Bank South Pacific, launched their BillPay scheme which will enable customers to make payments through mobile and internet banking.

Present at the launching was; Alphonse Sonu, Relationship Manager of the Bank South Pacific, Deryn Heap, Head of Global Transactional Solutions of Westpac and Taumaia Kramer Chief Operating Officer of ANZ.

“We are excited about the enhancement opportunities BillPay will provide for our customers. It is quicker and easier than writing and mailing paper cheques and it only takes seconds,” said Tavir Jr.

To be able to make online payments, Water PNG customers need to register with internet banking through the banks’ websites.

Water PNG is the only water distributor company in PNG to have an online BillPay System.
