Holy Trinity Teachers College turns 56

Holy Trinity TeachersCollege in Mt Hagen Western Highlands province was out in full color to celebrate 56 years of providing education.

The day was marked with cultural performances from various provinces; Western Highlands students’tookthe lead.

The college began celebrations on Friday May 24th.

Principal Mr John Onguglo said students’of Holy Trinity College must live up to name ofthe institution by committing totheir education.

Much praise was given to those who startedthe school bythe provincial government representative Simon Sam.

He encouragedthe students’to take ownership of education and prepare well for what is to come. The locals were also acknowledged for their contribution in looking afterthe institution.

Western Highlands students’hen tookthe lead inthe cultural performance. Students fromthe Momase Region performed as a group, as well as those ofthe New GuineaIslands.

ther traditional groups included Chimbu, andthe Enga’s, who capturedthe crowd withtheir fierce dancing andtheir loud and synchronized singing.

Holy Trinity Dayended with more traditional singsing and sports activities.
