Oro Governor Garry Juffa maintains proper procedures were by-passed inthe five million kina claim for a road in Oro Province.
Governor Juffa has maintained that he is not satisflied withthe response from Ijivitari MP David Arore. He wantsthe Member to explain whythe K5 million contracts should be awarded to a logging company, one he says has no company profile.
“Againthere is no details aboutthe company – where isthe company, where isthe company profile, where isthe certificate of compliance, where isthe GST, where isthe IPA certificate, there is absolutely nothing in this documents to show that,” Juffa stressed.
The reinstated Mr Arore confirmed to EMTV News last week thatthe five million kina was requested by him in 2011, stating all procurement procedures were followed.
“Procurement process for that Five Million Kina has been completed and done because it is appropriated and allocated under Ijivitari District whichthe funds were allocated and not under Oro Provincial Government funding,” confirmed Arore.
Meanwhile, Governor Juffa has blacklistedthe logging company from being awarded any contracts in Nothern Province.
