MVIL Set Up Office in Kerema Town

The Gulf Provincial Government has entered into an agreement withthe Motor VehicleInsurance for the establishment of an MVIL office inthe province.

 

This will enable all vehicles operating inthe province to be registered withthe provincial office to generate internal revenue for the provincial government.

It is also part of MVIL’s expansion program to provide services tothe provinces and districts that have business potential.

 

The instruments were signed at MVIL headquarters in Port Moresby yesterday.

 

MVIL will focus mainly on registration collection and third party insurance.

 

The money collected fromthe registration will be remitted back tothe gulf provincial government to boost its internal revenue.

 

MVIL largely depends on revenue generated from third party insurance which will be is its core business.

 

 

The partnership arrangement is timely, asthe provincial government recently embarked on rehabilitation of roads inthe province.

 

There are currently 111 registerePMV operating inthe Gulf Province.

 

Betthe governor says anPMV found not havingthe provincial MVIL registered logo will not be allowed to operate inthe province.
