Morobe Governor Empowering Women

Morobe Governor Kelly Naru has told a woman’s group to usethe provincial government’s support to help raise children who will followthe country’s laws.

 

He has raised this concern’s afterthe Beack cat incident where bandits attacked a group of Australia’s and a New Zealand tourist and ferociously slashedtheir porters with bush knives, killing three.

Governor Naru spoke to a Ltheran women’s group at Salamaua who became a beneficiary of Provincial government funding allocated to churches.

 

The Morobe provincial government budgets over five-million Kina as a tthe to support church groups inthe province.

 

The Gemjsao women’s group is one such group that benefits.

 

The Provincial Administration is giving support to women inthe province through its church partnership programs.

 

And now it wants support given back tothe Province.

 

Morobe Governor Kelly Naru overthe weekend told mthers fromthe Gemjsao,they play a huge role in making sure thattheir children are brought up right.

 

“We have gone throughthe reformation physically and spiritually to raise better children like ourselves,” he said.
 

Mthers have a crucial role in a child’s early life to teachthem to avoid creating law and order problems intheir communities.
