Men, women, and children faced with this situation are forced to sleep inthe streets ofthe city.

They and many thers aroundthe capital share a common problem. They are all homeless.
Almost all ofthem, who are women, havethe same story. They had been kicked out from homes and left to fend for themselves.
One shopfront inthe city is used as a resting spot for some ofthese individuals. He shared some ofthe dangers faced by women who sleepthere.
There is a variety of displaced people ranging from employed tothe unemployed, sex workers, vendors, andthe list goes on.
Diane Kawage, who is considered a mther in this area, was kicked out along with her four kids by her husband.
She saysthe number of displaced people inthe city is well intothe thousands.
Though coming from different backgrounds and provinces,their troubles have broughtthem togther as a close family unit.
The displaced people have asked local members andthe Governor of NCD if a shelter can be established for those that live onthe streets.
