Police Commissioner Tom Kulunga madethe announcement of his two deputies in Port Moresby yesterday. It was withnessed by senior officers ofthe Papua New GuineaRoyal Constabulary.
The two deputies are Simon Kauba Deputy Commissioner Operations and Awan Sete Deputy Commissioner Administration.
Police Commissioner Tom Kulunga said both officers bring wealth of experience totheir new role.
Their appointment is timely asthe Police Force mover to reform and modernize its operations.
Beth Officers intheir respective roles as Deputy Commissioner Operations and Deputy Commissioner Administration will assistthe Commissioner in managingthe police department.
Commissioner Kulunga says it is important some ofthe functions be decentralized for effective implementation.
Deputy Commissioner Administration Awan Sete has being tasked to ensure this is done.
Come April this yearthe RPNGC will be launching its modernization programs.
