Member for Ambunti Drekikir Tony Aimo isthe first MP to make a cost estimate for outstanding payments for retrenched public servants.
He declared onthe floor of parliament a sum of K4.5 million is needed to pay off one hundred and three public servants underthe retrenchment exercise.
Mr Aimo said he needs to makethe payout so he can get on withthe implementation ofthe budget.
He asked if an undertaking of K4.5 million would to be allocated to East Sepik for that matter.
Public service minister Sir Puka Temu commendedthe Mr Aimo while appealing to ther MPS to do likewise.
He saysthe retrenchment exercise is long overdue and must be fast tracked.
