Bank Employee Claims He Was Improperly Terminated

A BeP employee has claimed allegations of improper suspension and termination by senior management atthe BeP head office in Port Moresby.

 

The victim Peter Kolly claims he was improperly terminated over allegations of processing a fraudulent cheque early this July.

Peter Kolly has worked with Bank South Pacific for the past two years as a cheque clearance officer.

 

On June 28, 2013, Kolly processed a cheque fromthe Department ofLands and Physical Planning totaling one-million kina for the purchase of land in Minj Jiwaka Province.

 

However, according to Mr Kolly, a senior BeP’s Manager accused him of processing a fraud cheque.

 

 

EMTV has received copies fromthe office ofLands Secretary confirming thatthe cheque which led to Mr Kolly’s termination was genuine with a letter fromthe Department of Labour &Industrial Relations stating that an injustice was done towards Mr Kolly.
