Kagamuga airport to have international terminal

Kagamuga airport in PNG rsquo;s third largest city Mt Hagen will have a new domestic and international terminal.

Prime Minister Peter O’Neill was in Mt Hagen on Monday to performthe ground – breaking ceremony. 

Upon arrival, Prime Minister Peter ONeill was welcomed by Former Prime Minister and Western Highlands Governor Paias Wingti.

The occasion markedthe ground – breaking ceremony of a K42 million domestic and international terminal development. The project is funded bythe Asian Development Bank underthe Civil Aviation Development Program. It will be done under strict supervision.

Prime Minister Peter ONeill performedthe ground – breaking ceremony to markthe start of construction.

He toldthe people that landowner issues must not hinderthe project development asthere are avenues in place to address such issues.

Construction for the Kagamuga Airport Upgrade will start soon.
