After almost twenty years, Executive Staff of National Housing Corporation has undergone a refresher accounting.
This time, it was conducted by Herman Moshi, a Senior Lecturer atthe University oPNG. After a month’s training, even non – accountants felt educated.
This training is part of image building, an important part ofthe National Housing Corporation that has suffered overthe years.
Throughthe four – weeks training titled Accounting for Non – Accountants,the participants learnt how to interpret balance sheets, do simple accounting and read financial statements. They learnt underthe watchful eyes of a business academic, Herman Moshi.
Non-accountants,the staff were impressed withthe training.Including NHC Veteran Lucy Kairi Tovue, who has servedthe Corporation for 37 years.
thers also expressed similar sentiments but wantedthe training for a longer period.
The second batch of training for NHC staff will be conducted soon.
