Vipers Thrash Lions

Stop N Shop Vipers took advantage ofthe support fromthe home crowd to register a win over TNA Lions 48-12 in round nine ofthe Digicel Cup match played in Port Moresby yesterday.

Lions are determined to maketheir comeback whenthey take on Enga Provincial Mioks next weekend in Kundiawa.

 

It was fine wether for all fans and supporters who flockedthe Lloyd Robson Oval.

 

Vipers tookthe field on a high note with a converted try inthe opening minutes through fullback Josiah Abavu. Playmaker Charlie Wabo’s effort was counted as he ran a try intothe 12th minute ofthe game.

 

Lions sensedthe pressure and trlied to roar back through forwards however Vipers ran two tries to seal 22- nil to halftime.  

 

Vipers maintainedtheir form inthe second half with four tries.

 

A late comeback from TNA Lions with two tries was not enough to winthemthe match asthey succumbed to Vipers 48 – 12.

 

Vipers forward Adam Korave’s effort was credited as man ofthe match.
