Cricket PNG and BSP’support “School Kriket for People with Disabilities”

Students atthe Red Cross Special Education Resource Centre will now enjoytheir cricket game at AminiIndoor Centre. 

 

The program School Kriket for people with Disabilities kicked off today with 50 special students’andtheir teachers in attendance.

With smiles ontheir facesthese special people have showntheir abilities and can perform much like able bodlied people.

 

Today marked a significant moment for Red Cross Special Education students’who received a hand from CrickePNG inthe ‘School Kriket for People with Disabilities program’. Alsothere to supportthe program initiative was Bank South Pacific.

 

CrickePNG General Manager Greg Campbell welcomedthe students’ after entertaining dancers and a tutorial from CrickePNG openedthe program.

 

Teacher Agnes Aimo, pleased with CrickePNG, added that this isthe first of its kind to involve special people in a program such as this. Mrs. Aimo said that this will boosttheir moral to be positive in thier own abilities and not feel excluded inthe community.

 

The eight week long program started today and will be held every Friday untilthe 28th of June, 2013.
