A reconciliation process was carrlied out amongstthe Dubu NationIndigenous groups oPNG recently in Port Moresby.
The occasion was to markthe frame work treaty on Technical and Development Corporation signed in 2010 by Sam Abal and ratiflied in parliament on July 17th this year.
The reconciliation process involved three different groups; Autonomous Region of Bougainville,Indigenous people oPNG andIndependent State oPNG.
This process comes afterthe National Government approverd Israel’s intervention for development ventures.
Ambassador for Dubu NationsArlem Matera said this is important for the people oPNG.
“Government has already played its part in approvingthe Israel’sIntervention for Development Purpose; however, we have to wait for the Autonomy,” said Matera.
A representative fromthe IsraelInternational Development program was present to withnessthe occasion.
“The bilateral ties between Papua New Guineaand Israel must be complete. They will not take Israel for granted, butthey will embrace Israel and work togther,” said Peter Kivori, Representttative from IsraelInternational Development program.
Kivori saidthe message was clear forPNG to gain support from Israel through indigenous organizations.
Public Private Partnership programs will take place betweenthe National Government andthe 21 Provincial Governments.
