PM’s Gala Dinner raises K3.8 million for Charity

The Prime Minister’s Charity Gala Dinner held last Saturday raised 3.8 million kina onthe evening.

 

Prime Minister Peter O’Neill launchedthe Peter O’Neill Foundation withthe objective “No one gets left behind”, as Papua New Guineagrows and prospers.

Six hundred people attendedthe Prime Minister’s Charity Gala atthe Dynasty Restaurant insidethe Vision City Mall in Port Moresby.

 

It was a spectacular event with Mr. O’Neill choosing to celebrate 12 months since he was elected withthe corporate community to give back to those in need.

 

A team was put togther to ensurethe funds go directly to nominated organizations and charities to support infrastructure programs and services to assist those in need.

 

Entertainment guru Richard Wilkins from Australia’s Today Show hosted a spectacular evening. Tina Arena proverd why she was recently votedthe all-time best female vocalist in Australia.

 

Local sensation Jokema performed a duet with Tina Arena and received a standing ovation.

 

Jokema also wrote and performed a special song for the eventobringingthe guests to tears.
