Disadvantaged Students Funded

Seven disadvantaged students’fromthe Enga province were enrolled intothe University of Papua New Guinearsquo;s Open Campus through assistance fromtheir local Member of Parliament.

Wabag District MP, Robert Ganim paid seven thousand kina as enrolment fees yesterday. They arethe second batch. The first batch was for eleven students’

Mr. Ganim has allocated a total of five hundred thousand kina from his District budget towards subsidies for all students’fromthe district studying in various tertiary institutions inthe county, for this year.

This is complimentary tothe provincial government’s free education and subsidy scheme for all Engan students’
