Barramundis beat ACC Redbacks

The Digicel Barramundi’s continuedtheir impressive form againstthe Adelaide Cricket Club, Redbacks inthe T20 match.

The home side batted first and got off to a flyer courtesy of Redbacks batman Sam Raphael.

 

Raphael and fellow Redbacks big hitting all-rounder Trent Lawford were quick to register 142 onthe third wicket. The pair punishedthe Barras’ bowlers with some impressive batting on a belter of a pitch.

 

A late fight back sawthe Barras restrictedthe home side to 7 for 204 atthe end oftheir allotted overs.

 

Barras’ Jason Kila and Tony Ura’s combination raced out ofthe blocks to matchthe required run rate.

 

The match had to be called off after 15 overs due to fading lightowhile Barras sit comfortably on top with 5 for 159.

 

Meanwhile,the DigicePNG Barramundi’s claimed 30 run victory over Darrren Lehman Cricket Academy inthe first oftheir several practice matches last Friday. 

 

Barras wonthe toss and batted first inthe likes of Tony Ura and Jason Kila.

 

Skipper Chris Amini joined Kila and went about rebuildingthe Barras innings after Ura bowled out on 3.

 

The pair contributed 97 before Amini was replaced by Vani Vagi Morea who managed to compile 54.

 

 

Raymond Haoda brought Barras victory with 207.
