Bounty for Kapris Capture Increased

The police has offered K100 000 bounty for the escapees WilliamKapris and Raphael Walimini.

 

That is K50 000 each for information leading tothe capture ofthese escapees.

 

Deputy Police Commissioner and Chief of Operations Simon Kauba saidthe increased bounty comes amid growing public anxiety.

 

 

Police are working on some leads and his confident of an arrest soon.

So far 17 nominations have been received from candidates fromthe Motu Koita West vying for this seat. The current chairman is Miria Ikupu.

This morning EMTV caught up with Mr. Lakani Oala and his supporters ontheir way tothe Electoral Commission Office in Beroko. He presented his nomination fee and filled out a nomination form to be officially endorsed asthe Motu Koita West candidate for the Motu Koita Assembly Chairman seat.

The electoral commission saysthe chairman seat is highly contested. So far seventeen nominations were receive fromthe Motu Koita West LLG. The number is expected to increase inthe coming days.

Mr. Lakani Oala intends to deliver on his slogan “Real Results” by stopping all illegal land grabs of Motu Koita land and to meaningfully involvethe people of Motu Koita inthe development process.

Polling has been scheduled for Motu Koita on Tuesdaythe 9’s up>th of next month withthe electoral commission being optimistic of a peaceful elections.

The current chairman ofthe Motu Koita Assembly Miria Ikupu is expected to present his nomination tothe electoral commission office soon.
