Our PNG U-15 Girls Soccer team departed for the Youth Olympic Games to be held in Nanjing China.
The small contingent accompanied by their coaches and trainers, have departed a week earlier for a training camp to prepare the girls for the matches ahead in the 2-week event.
Enthusiastic in the weeks leading up to their departure, the U-15 Soccer girls will be contesting against Venezuela and Slovakia in the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China.
The girls have been selected from Port Moresby, Lae, Madang and Ramu Associations.
Coach Margret Aka is confident the girls will gain much experience and exposure to different styles and competition of football from participating countries.
With key areas as speed, skills, and attacking, Coach Margret Aka and her team have been working closely with the girls on their Defensive skills during the week.
The youth Olympic Games will be staged from the 14th to the 29th of August in Nanjing, China.
