Neglected Roads In Crane St. Pose Health Risks

Major improvement and development is taking place in the city’s main roads; however, little attention is given to the little streets in some of Port Moresby’s urban areas.

Crane Street, in the Gordons suburban area, is one of the many streets in the city that needs an upgrade as it has not only become a safety hazard for drivers but also a health risk.

This has been an ongoing issue for residents of Crane Street in Gordons for over 8 years.

The road is in a terrible state and causing more harm than good for residents in the area.

Residents are calling on the member for Moresby North East, Labi Amaiu, and NCD, to look into the matter.

Not only is the road damaged but broken sewerage pipes along Spoonbill Drive are adding to the road damage as well as causing health issues for residents.

Residents are saying that if the authorities do not address this matter soon, the street will be shut down to all users.
