OTML resurrects Western Province health sector

The Western Province Health indicators are amongst the lowest in the country. However, OTML has resurrected the health sector of the province.

Over the years, the mining giant has provided and improved the health services in the province.

Meanwhile, OTML through its Ok Tedi Development Foundation approved the 5 year North Fly District Health Services Development programme in 2009 to address the deteriorating health services and indicators in the District.

Over the last four years the programme contributed to; houses for government and church health workers, delivery of medicines and medical equipment, Maintenance of health facilities, training of health workers and Completion of immunization patrols.

 The programme is worth K20 million.
