Mellam is UPNG’s new Vice Chancellor

The UPNG Council announced the appointment of its new Vice Chancellor and Registrar in Port Moresby last Friday (21/12/12).

Dr. Albert Mellam is the new Vice Chancellor while Jennifer Popat retained her position as the Registrar.

Four years ago, Angau’s annual birth rate was 4000 per annum. This year, 8000 babies are expected to be delivered.   

Hospital staffs say they are struggling to cope with the increase in births.
