After exclusion 34 when Sitting Eastern Highlands Province Governor Mal Kela Smith was eliminated and his ballot papers distributed, there were among six candidates still in the race.
THE party member and only female candidate, Julie Soso, collected 66, 844 votes followed by Sir Barry Holloway with 65, 267 votes.
Samuel Si-I (See-Eye) is in third place with 61, 353 votes while Goroka Lahanis Franchise Owner and PNG PArty member Simon Sia, polled 58, 802 votes.
Moses Namagileso Kilo collected 54, 167 votes followed by former Governor Peti Lafanama with 52, 201 votes.
