Dige Bridge needs urgent repair

Thirty-seven years on and Rai Coast District in Madang is still struggling with development.

The run-down Dige Bridge in the Ward 6 area of Saidor LLG in Rai Coast is in urgent need of repair.

The bridge is the access for business activities. Without the bridge, their economic activity will be badly affected.

These two young men in the photo worked hard to remove all woods and metals so a new one can be replaced. And, how long will it take for them to complete the task is ones guess.

Locals say this is unfair for them as they have in the past been marginalized by responsible government agencies for not providing them the basic services they need.
