Lera On Partnership

By Fabian Hakalits – EMTV Port Moresby

Bougainville Regional MP, Joe Lera, has vowed to work in partnership with the Autonomous Bougainville Government, in delivering the much needed services to the people of Bougainville.

Mr Lera says members of both the National and ABG, must work together, to allow more development into the autonomous region.

“We must work together, the Members of the Bougainville House of Representatives with Members of the National Parliament of Papua New Guinea,”

“We must not work in isolation because our time has come, for us to prepare the Autonomous Region of Bougainville for full autonomy and then independence,” he said.

And if there are differences, they should be put aside first, as the referendum call is stronger, which calls for unification among all leaders and Bougainvilleans.

“Let’s put our difference aside and move Bougainville forward to where it should be,”

“This is important for the future of Bougainville,” Lera said.
