The aviation industry is deeply saddened by the unfortunate passing of late John Lapan Nason.
Helifix Chief Executive, Robert Agarobe, said the late John was instrumental in growing the helicopter industry.
Agarobe condemned the attack which led to late John’s passing but says, the industry has lost a pioneer licensed helicopter engineer.
It was an emotional moment for late John’s family, including colleagues in the aviation industry. An industry he worked for and built his career and life.
School mate and close friend, Robert Agarobe, described late John as a man who prioritised safety in the aviation industry.
Son, Nathan, described his father as loyal and a man of values.
Late John was attacked at his residence at Badili on June 6th and died 2 days later at the Port Moresby General Hospital.
Main suspect and businessman, Justin Paker, is facing a murder charge, and has applied for bail while being detained at the Boroko Cells.
Late Lapan’s body will leave for New Ireland tomorrow, for burial at his home village Taskul in New Hanover.
