Actor Phillip Seymour Hoffman Dies

Sealing his spot in the Film World as one of the finest actors with his role in Capote (2005), Phillip Seymour Hoffman, was reportedly found dead in his New York apartment with a syringe and two envelopes of heroin earlier this week. He was 46.

Police reports have shown that the actor’s cause of death was a drug overdose.

The film world is truly in mourning as most have felt like they’ve lost someone as extraordinary as Hoffman.

Huffington Post reported that on Tuesday Night, George Clooney, before the world premiere of “The Monuments Men,” took a moment to remember Hoffman:

“It's senseless and it's sad. But Phil will be greatly missed; it’s hard to be here tonight with that weighing over us. I just wanted to say that.”

His latest role was in the Hunger Games Trilogy. Jennifer Lawrence and the Hunger Games crew all came out to pay tribute to him.

Hoffman has also been featured in independent films such as Mission Impossible III.

Although the actor admitted in a 60 Minutes interview in 2006, he had quit taking drugs, recent reports have proven otherwise.

CNN has reported earlier today, four People have been arrested for being involved in the drug exchange that led to Hoffman’s death.

Reporters are closely following the investigation and it is understood that all four who were arrested plan to plead Not Guilty, to the charges that maybe facing.

He is survived by his three children and their mother.
