Hekari Prepared to Take on Lae

Defending National Soccer League Champions Hekari, are confident in their approach as they prepare to take on Lae FC, with Coach Jerry Allen hoping they extend their lead over the rest of the competition.

After the fourth round, Hekari United have worked to maintain their spot on the NSL Points ladder with 10 points after defeating Besta PNG United in Lae last weekend to further extend their lead ahead of the standings Gigira Laitepo who is trailing after them.

The lineup has changed from last weekend where junior players were given the chance to feel the toughness of the competition; however this weekend will see few senior players taking the field to give to entertain the home crowd in Port Moresby.

Head Coach Jerry Allan believes his side is prepared for the battle this weekend as they have done it in Lae defeating 3 – 1 against Besta FC and this weekend they have no doubt Hekari will maintain the fighting spirit against the visitors.
