Tomuriesa Determined to Equip Human Resource

Kiriwina – Good Enough MP, Douglas Tomuriesa, is serious about developing and improving the human resource in his electorate.

The local MP assisted students from the electorate with tuition fees for the new school year.

A cheque of over K700, 000 has been allocated to cater for this exercise.

Kiriwina – Good enough students of Milne Bay Province, attending Port Moresby Business College, Madang Technical College, Gaulim and Madang Teachers colleges are the first beneficiaries of these funds.

Mr Tomuriesa is determined that the youths from his electorate will be skilled, especially those that were pushed out by the formal education system.

More school leavers in his electorate have prompted him to develop the school fee subsidy scheme.

He said the fees will also cater for the students travel fares.

Other colleges to receive their share include Don Bosco Technical College, Kabaleo Teachers College and University of Papua New Guinea.

As part of his constitutional duties, the local MP will be visiting high schools and health centres in his electorate later this month.
