Ganba Westbrook Technical School in East Sepik Province, has tapped into resourcing its learning facilities to enhance student development.
A cheque of K60, 000 was presented to Telikom Foundation Incorporated by the Ganba Board Chairman today in Port Moresby.
This payment is for the roll-out of Telikom’s CleanIT (Ai-TI) program.
The CleanIT internet Learning Solution has reached more than 20 schools throughout the country.
It’s an online library which gives students and teachers access to educational websites to enhance learning and resource teachers.
With that, Ganba Technical High School seeks to tap into that learning opportunity.
Board Chairman of Ganba Felix Kalimo, thanked Telikom for the service and said, the students and teachers are desperate for the new learning method.
Mr Kalimo said this is the way forward for the school.
The school has an enrolment of 300 students and 12 teaching staff.
Telikom Foundation Chief Executive Officer Brian Sam said, quality education and access to right information is vital.
He says this service is now brought to the door steps of the Ganba community.
