Central Province Governor Helps School

A primary school in Hula Village along the Rigo coastline of Central Province will get much needed funding to lift its standards.

Allen Jones Memorial Primary School, formerly known as Mane Mane Primary, is one of the oldest schools in the Rigo District. It was established in the 1960’s by early Missionaries and from there, till now, little has been done.

Most of the classrooms, offices and teachers houses are run down.

While visiting the area over the weekend, Central Governor, Kila Haoda, came across the school and upon seeing its current state, decided to pledge K100, 000 to help renovate and improve the school.

It was a timely pledge as there were plans to convert the school into a Secondary School.

With the pledge the president said the LLG will provide an additional K30, 000 and will use the money as counter funding.

The president called upon the government to help convert the school.

Governor Haoda also called upon other MP’s of Central Province to assist.

He said both members of the National and local level government will be working together to make sure the school gets off the ground.
