The PNG Basketball Federation aims to take basketball to other parts of the countries.
The announcement of the new Executive officer, Joel Khalu, comes timely as the federation strives to grow the sport of basketball in Papua New Guinea.
The PNG Basketball federation now has plans to further develop and grow the sport of basketball nationwide.
Since the Pacific Games, the country now has quality sporting facilities available which PNG Basketball plans to utilise in developing the sport.
PNG Basketball Federation has development programs lined up through the partnership with FIBA and Oceania basketball.
Basketball PNG aims to grow the sport throughout Papua New Guinea and see it become leading sports in the country.
PNG Basketball’s improvement was evident during the Pacific Games, with the men’s team just missing out on a podium finish but are eager to further improve in the coming years.
