Governor Parkop yesterday at a news conference assured that normalcy in the city will continue and he has spoken with Metropolitan Superintendent, Ben Turi, to ensure that police will be present in the city.
He said that if a situation was to arise today in the city, strict measures will be taken to assure the public safety.
Parkop called on the Coalition of Sivil Society Group to be responsible with any unlawful action taken by the public.
Parkop said the same group that has been posting on social media had written to the Peace and Good Order Committee requesting for a public forum on Sunday.
He said it will be allowed, but not at Unagi Oval as requested.
Governor Parkop said he will confirm the exact location of the public forum later this week.
