Basketball PNG last night unveiled a brand new look, with new motives for the year 2016 following the introduction of their new management team earlier in the year.
Following his recent appointment as Basketball PNG’s Executive Officer, Joel Khalu is well on the way to reviving basketball to its former glory.
At the launch of their new look logo yesterday evening, Khalu unveiled the federations theme and mission – of changing the game, and becoming the pioneer and leading basketball nation in the Oceania region.
The rebranding has been a long time coming. It hasn’t only introduced a new look, but encouraged new partnerships which have allowed the federation to present new development programs, which will in turn harness the growth of the code in the country, and eventually the region.
FIBA’s intentions are simple, and achievable. Through their partnership with each of the federations in the region, they are looking to double the number of people playing basketball in the Pacific.
