PNG Shooters to Qualify for Rio

A team of five shooters will represent Papua New Guinea in a final attempt to qualify for the Rio Olympics.

In the pistol team, Mel Donald and Tania Mairi Mahuru will compete in both the air pistol 40 and sports pistol division in Bangkok in Thailand for the Women’s Pistol World Cup.

The shotgun team consists of Angus Donald, Danny Wanma and Darcy Leahy who will later travel to Cyprus to compete in the Shotgun World Cup from March 14 to 18.

The shooters will have to qualify with the highest score in their individual event to make the cut for Rio, before March 31.
