The University of Natural Resources and Environment in East New Britain province has a new vice-chancellor.
Professor Issac Pue has been appointed by the university council last week to replace Dr. Pongie Kichawen who had his contract terminated.
The university council hasn’t made known the reasons behind Dr. Kichawen’s termination.
The PNG University of Natural Resources and Environment has been a hive of student protest over the last five years.
Most of their grievances expressed were centred around ill-management within the administration.
Professor Pue’s appointment comes following a series of changes made to the Vice-Chancellors post over the years.
At least three different people have been appointed to the Vice-Chancellors post but were later forced to resign or dismissed from office.
