96 families in remote Siar village of Namatanai District in New Ireland Province, will now light-up their homes following the recent distribution of solar kits.
A small but very significant event was held, as the families received their solar kits consisting of light bulbs, a flashlight, radio and solar panels.
The distribution covered a catchment of 7 wards, consisting of 20 communities.
This is the third set of solar kits distributed by the Namatanai District Administration.
Namatanai MP Walter Schnaubelt was present to witness the occasion.
