This was at the 17th World Masters Swimming Championship.

He described the win of two gold and silver medals as the ‘First for PNG’.
When Pini was asked about the future said apart from waiting for the World Masters Championships, he said he will still be making appearances in and out of the pool.
Pini was accompanied by Ashley Seeto, who also represented Papua New Guinea with Pini at the event.
