ABG Launches Department Corporate Plans

Another historical and milestone achievement for the Autonomous Bougainville Government, is the launching of Corporate plans for all departments.

The corporate plans were launched on June 2, at a ceremony at the Hutjena Secondary School hall in Buka.

The Island’s President, Chief John Momis says that for far too long, the Bougainville public service has failed to deliver to the people and to the government’s expectation.

And the corporate plan is the way forward for all departments and to encourage sustainability and growth.

This will allow the Bougainville public service to continue to deliver to the people of Bougainville.

“It provides a roadmap of what agencies need to achieve,” Momis said.

Monitoring and evaluation is an important component of the corporate plans.

Acting Managing Director of the Investment Promotion Authority Clarence Hoot says this will provide a sense of ownership and progressive results to be achieved.

“Achievements, and challenges set the way forward,” he said
