Up to 40 players from Port Moresby and Alotau shared three pool tables, aiming to go by red, to get their colour of choice to score points on the board. Great skills and techniques were displayed on the table.
Tournament Director, Joe Chan, said since the start of the event on Thursday, players have really shown great professionalism and that the competition has really heated up between Port Moresby and Alotau.
Chan says the tournament is spread across the city. He added that old time players and current champions, for both junior and open competition, are also back to participate in this Easter’s challenge.
For the players, moving ahead on the score board will be a hard one, especially if they’re aiming to sink in the yellow, green, brown, blue, pink and black ball respectively.
While aiming for the red ball, before any colour, each ball represents a digit in order to get the final score for each player.
The aim for each player would be to get all the reds out of the way and the other colours before aiming to sink in the black, that has 7 points up for grabs, and an extra one point from the red ball.
The competition will continue tomorrow, and end on Monday with Final playoffs and presentations.
