Police in Lae will conduct a special Easter operation throughout the city starting tomorrow.
Random roadblocks and foot patrols will be carried out in various locations.
Lae Metropolitan Commander, Chief Superintendent, Anthony Wagambie, warned residents not to cause disturbances in the community during the Easter weekend.
Those intending to cause problems will be dealt with. There is also a directive from the Lae District Court that bail for all offences is set at K300.
There will be a special court sitting on Monday, depending on the number of detainees in the cell.
But, on behalf of the police personnel and their families, the Lae Metropolitan Command wished Lae residents a safe and happy Easter celebration.
