The CPL PNG Lewas have 97 days to go before they make their appearance in the 2017 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers.
With the participation of ten teams, this is the highest level the Papua New Guinea side has achieved.
They will compete against Bangladesh, Ireland, Thailand, Scotland and Zimbabwe, to secure the last of four spots available for the World Cup.
The group of teams will play their matches in the United Kingdom.
While the top six of England, West Indies, New Zealand, South Africa, India and Pakistan will battle out in their qualifying One Day International games in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
The last World Cup in 2013 saw Australia as victors, while the host, Sri Lanka, came out fifth.
