The people of East Sepik Province have decided that 2015 will be the year when future development agendas will be addressed.
The first ever week-long East Sepik Development Forum will be held next month with full support from the Provincial Governor Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare and other provincial leaders.
According to Mr Joseph Sukwianomb, a driving force behind this forum, invitation letters to participate in this forum will be sent to East Sepik patrons around the country who have been identified to take part in this forum.
He emphasised that this is expected to be one of the province’s largest gathering thus far.
“There are many priority areas that will be discussed in this forum with special interest in the much talked about leadership and governance issues, the April Salumei REED Project, the Wewak Seawall Project and of course the Institute of Rural Technology (the future Northern Regional University of Rural Technologies) at Maprik to be inaugurated in the first quarter of 2015,” said Mr Sukwianomb.
